14 out on a ride over to Glossop.

Dave, Ben, Owen & Dawn went over Standedge & the other 10 went over Isle of Skye.

As it was such a nice day I put an extra loop in after leaving Will at the Flouch & got just over 100 miles in.

Alex out for the 5th time by my reckoning & he's a paid up member so I've added him to the list. Still don't know his surname

Two groups with the faster group not stopping (Mother's Day time pressured!). Top marks to Rock Legend Mark D for sticking with the pace today despite his debauched lifestyle

Thanks Graham...Although it seems I may have returned to the wrong club. Decided due to lack of road miles I would ride ahead when Mark got his technical, only to be passed and subsequently dropped by the new Mark Thaxton training ride only a few miles in. There was no opportunity to ride with the majority of my club mates and catch up on gossip. It seems things have changed on the club ride and if thats the way its going I'm not sure I like it...If people have got lofty goal thats all well and good, but in my view the club ride is the wrong place to work towards these goals.

I just wish everyone was as fast at posting cheques for the track trip as they are when riding on the club run

i was only out for an hour this morn and road with the slower group and i did enjoy it. I thought benA and owen did a good job setting the pace. Thought that the two groups worked well as everyone seemed to know who would be taking it a bit slower and got into the group they felt most comfortable with.

As i dont come out on enough club runs to pass comment on how the should be run i thought it was handled well today. Although you might not get to chat to everyone as you crnt be in 2 groups at once at least no one will get left behind when there are two groups clearly designated as fast and a bit slower.

The slower group is excelant for those wanting a recovery ride or for new members who want to dip there toes into the club run.

This will mean only one thing, that the club goes from strength to stregth and caters for all.
