About the Club

Welcome to the Huddersfield Star Wheelers' web site. We are one of the largest and friendliest cycling clubs in Yorkshire and cater for practically all disciplines of cycle leisure & sport, from cyclo-cross and mountain biking, to road racing and touring. Please take a good look around our site and you’ll get an insight into what the club has to offer it’s members, both old and new.

Membership

Below are some examples of the clubs activities:

Racing
There are plenty of Time Trials, Road Races, and other competitions Star Wheelers may be participating in within our area. The result pages within the forum will be the place to find out how all our own members are getting on, with details being posted as soon as the results are in.

Hill Climb
Held as an official CTT event, our own Hill Climb takes place each year on the Jackson Bridge course. Previous winners have included Chris Boardman, Jeff Wright and National Champion James Dobbin.

Youth Policy
The club is very active in it’s youth policy and along with the BSCA (British Schools Cycling Association) holds numerous events to encourage new blood into our ranks.

Social
The club holds numerous social gatherings throughout the year including BBQ’s, Freewheel competitions, auctions and ride out’s, with the premier event being the annual club dinner.
